October is International Breast Cancer Awareness Month and for me, like for many others, this is a cause very dear to me. A few years ago, we had a massive scare with my grandmother, who was diagnosed with breast cancer stage 2b. After chemo, she decided to have a double mastectomy, as a prevention method. On October 15th, our family will be celebrating the 89th birthday of this strong woman.
